Workspace Variable wind_v_field
Horizontal 1D, 2D or 3D wind components. This wind component is defined differently for the atmospheric dimensionalities. 1D: Complete vertical wind. The wind is treated to always be aligned azimuthally with the observation direction. That is, the vertical winds converge/start at geographical position of the sensor. A wind going away from the sensor is treated as positive. 2D: Complete vertical wind. The wind is treated to be aligned with the 2D cross-section the atmosphere represents. Air moving towards higher latitudes is considered as a positive wind. 3D: The north-south wind component. Air moving towards higher latitudes is a positive wind. Can be set to be empty, which is interpreted as zero wind speed everywhere. Unit: m/s Dimensions: [ p_grid, lat_grid, lon_grid ] or [ 0 0 0 ]
