Maps a multi-beam case to a matching pencil beam case.

Cases with overlapping beams are most efficiently handled by letting antenna_dlos have several rows. That is, there are multiple beams for each measurement block. The drawback is that many variables must be adjusted if the corresponding pencil beam spectra shall be calculated. This method makes this adjustment. That is, if you have a control file for a multiple beam case and for some reason want to avoid the antenna weighting, you add this method before sensor_responseInit(), and remove the call of sensor_responseAntenna() and you will get the matching pencil beam spectra.

Parameters:
  • sensor_pos (Matrix, optional) – The sensor position for each measurement block. See sensor_pos, defaults to self.sensor_pos [INOUT]

  • sensor_los (Matrix, optional) – The sensor line-of-sight (LOS) for each measurement block. See sensor_los, defaults to self.sensor_los [INOUT]

  • antenna_dlos (Matrix, optional) – The relative line-of-sight of each antenna pattern. See antenna_dlos, defaults to self.antenna_dlos [INOUT]

  • antenna_dim (Index, optional) – The dimensionality of the antenna pattern (1-2). See antenna_dim, defaults to self.antenna_dim [INOUT]

  • mblock_dlos (Matrix, optional) – The set of angular pencil beam directions for each measurement block. See mblock_dlos, defaults to self.mblock_dlos [INOUT]

  • atmosphere_dim (Index, optional) – The atmospheric dimensionality (1-3). See atmosphere_dim, defaults to self.atmosphere_dim [IN]

  • verbosity (Verbosity) – ARTS verbosity. See verbosity, defaults to self.verbosity [IN]
