Transmitted signal having a single polarisations.

The method is intended to be used as possible input of iyTransmissionStandard(). It sets iy_transmitter to describe the transmitted signal/pulses. The polarisation state is taken from instrument_pol, where instrument_pol must contain a single value. This polarisation state is applied for all frequencies. The transmitted pulses/signals are set to be of unit magnitude, such as [1,1,0,0].

Parameters:
  • iy_transmitter (Matrix, optional) – Monochromatic pencil beam radiance spectrum of transmitter signal. See iy_transmitter, defaults to self.iy_transmitter [OUT]

  • stokes_dim (Index, optional) – The dimensionality of the Stokes vector (1-4). See stokes_dim, defaults to self.stokes_dim [IN]

  • f_grid (Vector, optional) – The frequency grid for monochromatic pencil beam calculations. See f_grid, defaults to self.f_grid [IN]

  • instrument_pol (ArrayOfIndex, optional) – Definition of the polarisation of an instrument. See instrument_pol, defaults to self.instrument_pol [IN]

  • verbosity (Verbosity) – ARTS verbosity. See verbosity, defaults to self.verbosity [IN]
