The valid species for the ARTS system.
This identifies the species that can be used in the ARTS system. It has a wide variety of applications internally.
In terms of atmospheric properties, it is used to identify the VMR in the atmosphere of the species. See
AtmField

for its usage there.For some applications, it is simply an identifier in a map, such as for
SpeciesEnumVectors
.For some applications, it is an extension of the species identifier, such as for
QuantumIdentifier
,QuantumLevelIdentifier

.The type is also used extensively in the absorption system for identifying species. This includes
AbsorptionLookupTables
,CIARecord
,XsecRecord
, andAbsorptionBands
. Specifically for the latter, the innerAbsorptionLine
