Workspace Variable refr_index

Refractive index of air (only real part).

This variable contains the refractive index summed over all relevant
constituents, at one position in the atmosphere. The standard set of
functions assumes that all frequency components propagate along the
same path. That is, dispersion is neglected and this variable has no
frequency dimension.
